About Us

The School for Synodality exists to support the Church’s synodal journey of openness to the Holy Spirit through listening, sharing, and discernment.

In partnership with dioceses, religious congregations, parishes, communities, and individuals, we create resources, workshops, and opportunities to reflect together, as well as speaking, writing and offering formation on synodality.  While our work began with a focus on the Church in England and Wales, we are increasingly connecting with people from across the world, which brings rich experience and perspective to our work.

Our areas of work

  • Resources for formation and training

We create and make freely available a rang of resources, such as our parish council starting packs; the basics of spiritual conversation; resources for school councils, synodal leadership, reaching the margins - and whatever else you might need.

  • Theological and theoretical

Facilitating an academic resource group to discuss some of the most important questions that arise as we walk the synodal path together.

  • Networking

We help to bring together and engage those working on similar themes in the area of synodality.
